Arogya Inc. dba Arogya World (www.arogyaworld.org) is a US based non-profit implementing large, scalable, science-based, population-level programs for diabetes prevention through healthy living, in India. We were founded in 2010 by Dr. Nalini Saligram (and 3 other founder board members). Through 2019 we have reached and educated 5 million people in India on diabetes prevention and healthy living across our programs and demonstrated meaningful public health impact. The organization is now in scale up mode and is gearing up to expand by partnering with large organizations with broad reach, and by working with government.
Humana People to People India (HPPI) is a non-profit organization formed in India in 1998 with the mission to unite with people to create development in a holistic manner. HPPI’s development interventions are broadly segmented into 5 verticals- -Education & Literacy -Livelihood & Community Development -Community Health -Environment Conservation -Financial Inclusion The interventions aim to transfer knowledge, skills and capacity to individuals and communities who need assistance to rise from poverty and other debilitating circumstances. Broader strategies are developed in alignment with national and global mandates. Specific interventions are designed to result in focused and sustainable impact at the grassroot and involve extensive stakeholder engagement at community and institutional levels. Building on a long track record of quality implementation, HPPI today works in over 60 locations across 11 States, reaching over 2 million people annually in partnership with 60+ committed partners (CSR, Foundations, Government, Indian and International). WISH (Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Healthcare) is the flagship program of Lord’s Education and Health Society (LEHS), a fully compliant Indian non-profit organization working in public-private-partnerships with a focus on Indian states seeking urgent solution to their primary healthcare needs. Since 2014, we have been on an aggressive path of designing, piloting and demonstrating practical primary healthcare solutions through innovation and technology that deliver seamless, comprehensive services, and have gained extensive experience doing so. We envisage longer-term and systemic-level changes that ensure a lasting impact. Our proven expertise and experience have elevated our partnership with five partner States in northern, central and eastern India, to the roles of Management, Monitoring, Advisory and Technical support for upgrading and scale-up of rural and urban primary healthcare programs. Our 650+ primary healthcare facilities cover a population of over 140 million and have served over 11 million patients to date.
